Lenia (Continuous Cellular Automata)

A generalization of Conway's Game of Life into continuous space, time, and state. Discovered by Bert Chan.

Instead of binary cells (alive/dead), each cell holds a continuous real number [0, 1]. The neighborhood is not just 8 adjacent cells, but a continuous ring-like kernel. The update rule is a smooth Gaussian growth function.

This specific parameter set allows for the emergence of "Orbium", a complex, stable glider that swims through the primordial soup.

The return to pure, genesis-level modeling. Not just a trace-detector, but the cultivation of entirely new phyla.
