WARNING: GHOST CELLS (NECROMANCY)
In standard ALife, when a cell dies, it instantly vanishes, leaving space for new life. Here, death is not immediate. Dead cells leave a decaying "ghost" that slowly fades over several generations. These ghosts occupy space, physically blocking new cells from being born, causing the living ecosystem to choke on its own accumulated history.
