Boids with Predator (Escape Dynamics)

An extension of the classic Reynolds Boids flocking model. In addition to Separation, Alignment, and Cohesion, a fourth rule is introduced: Flee.

Hover your cursor over the canvas to act as a Predator. The boids will dynamically break their flocking formation to evade you, demonstrating how external threats fracture social cohesion, only for the flock to reform once the threat has passed.

A pure ALife interaction where the human is not a controller, but a perturbation in the environment.
